As a part time executive cab driver in London I come across many different people. Most of my conversation with clients are limited to “Good afternoon sir/madam, Where are we going today?”, “Thank you”, “Have a good day”. Although being in a congested city, what frustrates me is the irony of being stuck in the one tool that should provide me with the means of escape, my car. This often leads to a sense of captivity. I drive in the pursuit of release and freedom but all I see is no entry roads and red lights.
With this series of photographs I am exploring the meaning of loneliness, frustration and routine.
